WINTER HAVEN, FL — A portion of Thornhill Road in Winter Haven is scheduled to close overnight beginning Wednesday, June 24, as crews perform overhead bridge construction work.
The closure will begin at 9 p.m. and affect Thornhill Road between Fussell Road and Thornhill Estates Drive South. The roadway is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. on Thursday, June 25.
The temporary closure is part of an ongoing construction project being completed by Prince Contracting, LLC.
During the closure, motorists traveling on the west side of Thornhill Road will be detoured northwest via Winter Lake Road. Traffic approaching from the east side will be detoured southeast via Spirit Lake Road.
Residents and motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes to avoid delays. Officials noted that all dates and times are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances in the field.
