Lakeland, FL. (April 28, 2026) – A portion of North Galloway Road and 10th Street West in Lakeland closed at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 27 for a Polk County roadway improvement work.
The intersection will remain closed until roadway improvement work is completed. The roadway is expected to reopen at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 25.
Two lanes of travel will remain open on the southwest side of the intersection allowing eastbound traffic on 10th Street West to turn south on North Galloway Road and traffic traveling northbound on North Galloway Road to turn west on 10th Street West.
Traffic is being detoured on Sutton Road, Bella Vista Street West and then Wabash Avenue North.
Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
