Avelo Airlines Announces New Nonstop Routes to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and Concord, North Carolina

LAKELAND, FL — Avelo Airlines announced Wednesday that it will launch four new nonstop routes from Central Florida airports to Charlotte/Concord, North Carolina, and Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, beginning in November 2026.

The airline said one-way introductory fares start at $49, and it will be the only carrier offering nonstop service on each of the new routes.

The expansion includes a new route from Lakeland International Airport (LAL) to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico (BQN), beginning Nov. 18, 2026. The service will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Additional new routes to Charlotte/Concord, North Carolina, via Concord-Padgett Regional Airport include:

  • Fort Myers (RSW) beginning Nov. 19, 2026, with twice-weekly service on Thursdays and Sundays.
  • Orlando (MCO) beginning Nov. 18, 2026, with service four days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Tampa (TPA) beginning Nov. 20, 2026, with twice-weekly service on Mondays and Fridays.

Avelo will operate the new routes using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.

Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy said the new routes will provide Florida travelers with more affordable and convenient options for reaching the Charlotte region and Puerto Rico while continuing the airline’s commitment to low fares and reliable service.

The announcement expands Avelo’s growing presence in Central Florida, where the airline first launched service in November 2021. The carrier now serves 11 destinations from its Central Florida operations.
