BARTOW, FL — Alberto Jose Castaner Ramos, 47, was found guilty by a Polk County jury of failing to properly register as a sex offender and sentenced to five years in Florida State Prison, according to the State Attorney’s Office for Florida’s 10th Judicial Circuit.
Castaner Ramos is designated as a sexual offender in Florida. Records show he was convicted in Orange County in 2014 of lewd or lascivious molestation involving a victim between 12 and 15 years old while he was 18 or older.
In 2017, Castaner Ramos was convicted in Orange County of failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements. Records show he was again convicted for failing to comply with registration requirements in Polk County in 2026.
Castaner Ramos was sentenced this week in September to five years in Florida State Prison, the maximum sentence permitted, according to State Attorney Brian Haas’ office.
