US 98 Lane Closures Scheduled for FDOT Widening Project
Polk County, FL — The Florida Department of Transportation has announced periodic lane closures and flagging operations on US 98 between CR 54 and Janmar Road as part of the US 98 Widening and Realignment Project.
The closures will occur from Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Drivers are advised to plan for delays and exercise caution in the work zone. For more information, visit the FDOT website.
Additionally, US 98 between W Socrum Loop Road and CR 54 will see periodic lane closures and flagging operations in up to half-mile sections from Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Nighttime lane closures, flagging operations, and traffic shifts are also scheduled on US 98 from north of Lakeland Acres Road to south of SR 471 and from north of SR 471 to south of Old Dade City Road from Tuesday, May 27, through Thursday, May 29, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
