ST. CLOUD, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that a 23-year-old St. Cloud woman was killed early Monday morning after her Mercedes-Benz ran off the roadway and struck a tree in Osceola County.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:03 a.m. Monday, September 7, near Jones Road and South Zuni Road. According to FHP, the woman was driving a 2023 Mercedes-Benz C-Class southbound on Jones Road when she failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the roadway.
The Mercedes struck a fire hydrant before entering a wooded area and crashing into a tree. The 23-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Troopers reported that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Nothing further at this time.
