LAKE WALES, FL – A portion of Miami Street in Lake Wales is scheduled to close at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 11 for overhead utility pole replacement work.
Miami Road will be closed between Lakeside Drive and U.S. Highway 27 until overhead utility pole replacement work is completed. The roadway is expected to reopen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26. Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
Traffic traveling on U.S. Highway 27 will be detoured east on Oak Avenue to Miami Street. Traffic traveling on the north side of the closure will be detoured west on Oak Avenue to U.S. Highway 27.
The closure is part of a Duke Energy Florida project.
