Polk County Fire Rescue Saves Two Dogs from Fully Involved RV Fire in Lakeland

Lakeland, FL – On July 1, 2025, at 2:18 PM, Polk County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a fully engulfed RV mobile home fire at 5000 block of Karan Ct. Firefighters arrived swiftly at 2:20 PM and had water on the fire by 2:25 PM, according to the Polk County Fire Public Information Officer.

Eye in the Sky News confirmed with PCFR that several dogs were present at the scene, with two requiring rescue. One individual was transported to a local hospital with injuries. The fire caused damage to the RV mobile home, a truck, a boat, and the exterior of the home. The scene was brought under control by 2:39 PM, with no injuries reported among fire personnel.

Polk County Fire Rescue continues to investigate the cause of the fire. Nothing further at this time.
