The Haines City Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the Chanler Ridge neighborhood at approximately 7:20 a.m.
Upon arrival, fire crews observed smoke coming from the home and immediately initiated fire suppression efforts. The fire was quickly contained to the bathroom, preventing it from spreading to other areas of the residence.
No injuries were reported among the residents or responding fire personnel.
The Haines City Fire Department expressed gratitude for the swift actions of the responding crews and issued a reminder to all residents to ensure that working smoke alarms are installed in every home.
