Shooting at Davenport Condo Parking Lot Leaves Three Teens Injured

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, a shooting in a condo parking lot on Famagusta Drive in Davenport, FL, injured three Osceola High School students, as reported by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident, reported at 3:38 a.m., stemmed from a large gathering that relocated to the area after being dispersed from other locations.

PCSO received multiple 911 calls reporting a group of males fighting, followed by gunfire. Deputies arrived to find over 100 people and numerous vehicles at the scene, with several individuals fleeing on foot or by car. A perimeter was quickly established to secure the area.

Investigators learned that the gathering was linked to prom after parties following annual proms held by several Orlando-area schools on May 3. After law enforcement shut down parties at various Airbnbs in Osceola County, the group moved to a Wawa on Osceola Polk Line Road. When store personnel threatened to contact authorities, the crowd relocated to the Famagusta Drive condo complex, known for its short term rentals. There, they played loud music and blocked roads, leading to the altercation.

Three victims were identified: a 17 year old female with a graze wound to the forehead, treated and released; an 18 year old male with graze wounds to the shoulder and forehead, still under treatment; and a male, nearly 18, with debris in his eye, also receiving medical care. The victims, seated in a parked car, were not believed to be targeted but were likely caught in crossfire during an argument among several males.
