Haines City, FL – ATV vs Ford F450
On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at approximately 4:24 p.m., the Lake Hamilton Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, and Polk County Fire Rescue responded to a collision involving an ATV and a Ford F-450 at the intersection of Hwy 17 and Hughes Rd in Haines City, Florida.
According to a witness, the ATV was traveling eastbound on Hughes Rd while performing a wheelie. The driver of the ATV failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a Ford F-450 traveling southbound on Hwy 17.
Polk County Fire Rescue confirmed that the ATV driver was airlifted to a local hospital. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident and will provide updates as more details become available. Nothing further at this time.
