Polk County Public Schools is asking students, families, staff and community members to weigh in on the name of a new high school planned for Poinciana.
The new school will be located at 700 Bayberry St. and is expected to open in August 2028. Once completed, the campus is expected to serve approximately 2,500 students.
PCPS has launched an online survey featuring proposed names for the new high school. Participants can select the name they believe best represents the community, its values and its vision for the future.
Residents can also submit an alternative name if they have another suggestion for the district to consider.
The deadline to participate in the survey is Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Feedback collected through the survey will be provided to the Polk County School Board as it considers a name for the new school.
