Lakeland, FL – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal single-vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred Saturday, November 29, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Knights Station Road just west of Harrelson Road in north Lakeland.
The motorcyclist was identified as 26-year-old Kyle Cole of New Port Richey. Cole was operating a 2024 Suzuki motorcycle.
According to the PCSO, Cole was traveling eastbound on Knights Station Road and was following closely behind another vehicle. The motorcycle lost control, fell onto its left side, flipped, and ejected Cole. A westbound Jeep Cherokee may have struck the fallen motorcycle after the initial loss of control. The driver of the Jeep stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Bystanders initiated CPR prior to the arrival of first responders. Cole was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit. Nothing further at this time.
