US 98 Traffic Shift and Multiple Lane Closure Set for This Week

LAKELAND, FL — Motorists should prepare for multiple traffic shifts, lane closures, and flagging operations along US 98 and connecting roads over the coming week as part of ongoing highway improvements.

US 98 / Rock Ridge Road Intersection
Flagging operations will be in effect nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, April 19, through Thursday, April 23.

US 98 Between W Socrum Loop Road and CR 54
Periodic lane closures and flagging operations are scheduled daytime from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24.

SR 471 from US 98 to Approximately One Mile North
Lane closures and flagging operations will occur nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22.

Rock Ridge Road – West Side of US 98 Intersection
The road will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, April 24, to 6 a.m. Monday, April 27.

Rock Ridge Road from Deer Run to Woods Trail
Lane closures and flagging operations are planned from 8 p.m. Saturday, April 25, to 6 a.m. Sunday, April 26.

All work is weather-dependent and subject to change. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution in work zones, and seek alternate routes where possible during the specified times.
