A stationary front, combined with a moist and unstable atmosphere, is fueling efficient rain production, raising concerns for urban flash flooding in the Tampa Bay region and southern Polk County. The threat is expected to persist until midday, when daytime heating and an approaching weather system may disrupt the pattern. Residents are urged to stay alert, avoid flooded roads, and monitor local updates for safety.
