
Fatal Shooting in Brandon Leaves One Dead, Suspect at Large
Brandon, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide after a fatal shooting this evening ( Sunday, June 1) at approximately 7:05 p.m. The incident occurred in the breezeway of an apartment building on the 700 block of Providence Trace Circle in Brandon.

According to authorities, the suspect and victim were engaged in an argument when the suspect shot the victim and fled the scene. Deputies responded promptly, but the suspect remains at large as the search continues.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Sheriff Chad Chronister addressed the tragedy, stating, “A man’s life has been tragically cut short due to an act of violence that can never be undone. There is no dispute that should ever come to this. Our detectives are doing everything they can to locate the suspect and ensure the victim and his family get the justice they deserve.”
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward. This is an ongoing investigation, and further details will be released as they become available.
