SEBRING, FL — A Sebring man is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say he secretly recorded women inside fitting rooms at several Sebring retail stores. Jacob Tyler Adkins is accused of targeting customers at Lakeshore Mall, located at 901 U.S. Highway 27 North, Goodwill at 420 Sebring Square, and Walmart at 3525 U.S. Highway 27 North during multiple incidents between March and May 2026, according to the Sebring Police Department.
The investigation began on May 25, 2026, when an HCSO detective was trying on clothes inside a fitting room at the Goodwill store. The detective noticed a cell phone being held over the top of the fitting room wall. She immediately exited the changing room, confronted Adkins, and detained him until officers with the Sebring Police Department arrived.

Adkins was initially arrested and charged with attempted video voyeurism, using a two-way communications device to facilitate a felony, and petit theft.
As the investigation continued, detectives identified additional incidents and obtained a warrant charging Adkins with two counts of felony video voyeurism. Investigators say they have also identified other possible victims connected to incidents at multiple Sebring businesses.

According to investigators, the suspected incidents occurred at Bealls or Belk at Lakeshore Mall on March 29 and 31; Goodwill at 420 Sebring Square on April 28, 29, and 30, and May 9, 10, 22, and 25; and Walmart at 3525 U.S. 27 North on March 17 and May 22 and 24.
