LAKELAND, FL — Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital will host a registered nurse hiring event on Saturday, May 16, as the new medical facility prepares for its anticipated summer 2026 opening in Polk County.
The hiring event is open exclusively to registered nurses with at least one year of experience. It will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at Polk State College’s Lakeland Technology Building, located at 3425 Winter Lake Road in Lakeland. Walk-ins are welcome, and applicants are encouraged to bring a printed copy of their resume. Hiring managers will be onsite to speak with qualified candidates.
The new Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital is expected to become a major healthcare hub for the region. The facility will feature more than 300 inpatient beds, 69 emergency and observation beds, 11 operating rooms, and four cardiac and interventional suites.
Hospital officials say the collaboration between Orlando Health and Watson Clinic is aimed at expanding access to high-quality healthcare throughout Polk County. The hospital will also offer labor and delivery services, advanced cardiac care, neuroscience programs, and specialized stroke and spine care services.
