Fatal Motorcycle Crash on SR-60 Claims Life of Lake Worth Man
Bartow, FL – A collision on State Road 60 east of US-98 claimed the life of a 62-year-old Lake Worth man on Monday, June 9, 2025, at approximately 9:45 AM.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound when the incident occurred.
The motorcyclist was passing other vehicles in a median safety zone when a 21-year-old Winter Haven man, driving a GMC 2500 truck towing a trailer, moved from the outside lane to the inside lane. The motorcycle overtook the truck and struck it from behind, becoming lodged underneath.
The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The truck driver was unharmed, and the crash remains under investigation by authorities. SR-60 was temporarily closed in the area as emergency responders cleared the scene.
