Fatal Motorcycle Crash on CR-476B in Dade City

Dade City, FL. — A 22-year-old Dade City man lost his life in a tragic collision on CR-476B at approximately 5:00 PM on Monday, June 2, 2025. The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the incident involved a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a tractor-trailer.

According to authorities, the motorcycle, operated by the 22-year-old, was traveling northbound on CR-476B at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a tractor-trailer, driven by a 67-year-old Bushnell man, was also northbound but stopped in traffic, waiting to make a turn onto CR-631. The motorcyclist was unable to stop in time, resulting in a rear-end collision with the tractor-trailer.

The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.

The crash caused temporary road closures on CR-476B as emergency responders and law enforcement worked to clear the scene and investigate. The Florida Highway Patrol is examining factors such as speed and road conditions to determine the cause of the collision.
