MIAMI, FL — Tragic news out of Miami Sunday afternoon after an Amazon Prime Air Boeing 767-300 cargo plane overran a runway at Miami International Airport, struck multiple vehicles and caught fire.
According to Miami-Dade County officials, five people were killed and five others were injured, including three who suffered critical injuries.
The aircraft, operated by 21 Air, had arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico, when it overran the runway at approximately 2 p.m. on September 6.
The crash prompted a massive emergency response and significant disruptions at Miami International Airport. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

MIAMI, FL — An Amazon Boeing 767 cargo plane crashed near Miami International Airport Sunday afternoon after reportedly overshooting the runway and coming to rest near a nearby highway.
The aircraft had just landed in Miami at approximately 2 p.m. after departing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, when the incident occurred.
