BARTOW, FL — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has terminated its healthcare services agreement with longtime jail medical provider YesCare after the company filed for bankruptcy on May 8, 2026.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, YesCare’s bankruptcy filing constituted a breach of its contract with PCSO. Sheriff’s Office executive staff determined the company was no longer in a financial position to reliably provide medical services at Polk County jail facilities.
PCSO notified YesCare on Wednesday morning that the healthcare services agreement was being terminated effective immediately.

The Sheriff’s Office has since contracted with CFG Health Systems to take over jail medical services beginning today. Officials said the transition is expected to be seamless and that current healthcare employees serving at the jail will be retained under the new provider.
Sheriff Grady Judd praised the healthcare staff for continuing to provide care during the transition.
“Throughout this transition, our healthcare professionals have demonstrated their ethical and moral commitment to providing quality care to Polk County jail inmates. I am thankful for their steadfast professionalism,” Judd said.
