Four Corners Leaders Launch Regional Chamber of Commerce

FOUR CORNERS, FL — Regional leaders in the Four Corners area are marking a new phase of collaboration with the creation of the 4 Corners Chamber of Commerce, Inc., transitioning from the long-standing Four Corners Commissioners Task Force and Four Corners Area Council.

The Task Force and Council, made up of current and former leaders from Lake, Orange, Osceola, and Polk counties, have worked for years to address shared regional challenges, including transportation, infrastructure, growth management, public safety, and environmental stewardship. Their efforts helped unify the multi-county region, which operates as a single community despite jurisdictional boundaries.

As the Task Force concludes its work in its current form, community and business leaders have established the new chamber to expand on that foundation. The 4 Corners Chamber of Commerce will operate as an independent, business-led organization focused on advancing regional priorities and strengthening coordination between public and private sectors.

Founding board members include the four commissioners who served on the Task Force, along with a former Lake County commissioner. All are participating in their individual capacities as private citizens.

The Four Corners region remains one of the fastest-growing areas in Florida, with ongoing coordination across jurisdictions playing a key role in maintaining quality of life and supporting economic opportunity.

According to the release, the newly formed chamber is expected to provide a unified voice for the business community across the four-county region, support workforce development and economic growth initiatives, advocate for infrastructure and long-term regional planning, and strengthen collaboration between public and private stakeholders.

Officials emphasized that while the structure of regional collaboration is changing, the commitment among local governments to work together on issues affecting the Four Corners area remains unchanged.

Lake County Commissioner Sean Parks said the chamber represents a natural next step for aligning private investment with the region’s long-term vision. Orange County Commissioner Nicole Wilson said the transition will help bring the community’s voice directly into regional decision-making. Osceola County Commissioner Peggy Choudhry said the effort builds on an established foundation to sustain growth and collaboration. Polk County Commissioner Martha Santiago said the chamber will help address key issues such as transportation and economic development.

Former Lake County Commissioner Doug Shields said the new chamber is expected to provide a stronger voice for residents and businesses in the Four Corners area across all four counties.
