LAKELAND, FL — A new Pilates studio is coming to Lakeside Village, with BODYBAR Pilates targeting an early 2027 opening at the Lakeland shopping and lifestyle center.
BODYBAR offers low-impact, high-intensity workouts that combine traditional Pilates principles with strength, endurance and athletic training. The studio will offer seven class formats using four types of Pilates equipment, including the Reformer, Tower, EXO Chair and jump board.
Franchise owners Luis Diaz and Fausto Ordonez have signed a lease for a 2,585-square-foot space at Lakeside Village, located at 1489 Town Center Drive. The location will mark the first BODYBAR Pilates studio in the greater Lakeland area.
“BODYBAR stood out to us because it combines the strength and endurance of an athletic workout with the control, balance, and sustainability associated with Pilates,” Diaz said.
Diaz works in clinical research administration and regulatory operations, while Ordonez is a stroke neurologist practicing in the Lakeland area. The owners said Lakeside Village was selected because of its central location, visibility and mix of fitness, wellness, retail and dining businesses.
Lakeside Village spans nearly 460,000 square feet and includes more than 70 tenants. The center is anchored by Belk, Nordstrom Rack, CMX Lakeside Village 18 & IMAX and Books-A-Million, with Kohl’s serving as a shadow anchor. BODYBAR Pilates is currently expected to open in early 2027.
