DOVER, FL —Monday, January 5, 2026 – The Florida Highway Patrol has reported a fatal single-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 4 near milepost 14 that occurred at approximately 2:15 AM.
A Subaru Outback, driven by a 31-year-old man from Brandon, was traveling westbound when the driver lost control. The vehicle entered the north shoulder, overturned multiple times, and struck a tree and a fence.
An unrestrained 30-year-old woman from Brandon, riding as a passenger, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Nothing further at this time.
