Osceola County Launches Mobile Library Unit OLLie

KISSIMMEE, FL– Osceola County unveiled its new mobile library unit, named OLLie (Osceola Library Link), on Wednesday at the Buenaventura Lakes Library.

The vehicle-based unit is designed to deliver library services, technology access, and educational resources directly to residents in underserved and growing areas of the county.

Features of the unit include:

  • Solar-powered onboard generator
  • Exterior awning and TV display for outdoor programming
  • Interior equipped with five Chromebook laptops for technology tutoring
  • Wi-Fi hotspots supporting up to 100 devices simultaneously
  • On-site printing services
  • Collections of books, games, toys, and materials available for checkout

Scheduled operations:

  • Bi-monthly stops of 4–5 hours at locations including Holopaw and Oren Brown Park
  • Additional regular stops planned at Fire Station 75 and Sunbridge
  • Monthly partnership stops with local organizations
  • Availability for community-requested visits to parks, events, and neighborhoods

The mobile unit will serve areas without nearby fixed library branches.

Osceola County District 2 Commissioner Viviana Janer and county leaders attended the unveiling event alongside community members.
