LAKE WALES, FL – Mammoth Grove Road will close at 7 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, to allow for underground waterline installation work, according to a press release from the Polk Regional Water Cooperative project.
The affected portion of Mammoth Grove Road will be closed between State Road 60 East and the intersection with Lake Park Road. The closure is scheduled to last until the work is completed, with the roadway expected to reopen at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026.
This temporary closure is part of an ongoing Polk Regional Water Cooperative initiative.
Traffic will be detoured via Mammoth Grove Road, Stokes Road, and State Road 60.
Residents and drivers are advised to plan alternative routes during the closure period.
