FORT MEADE, FL– March 13, 2026 – Polk County officials have announced that a section of Raulerson Road in Fort Meade will close beginning Monday, March 16, 2026, to allow for roadway excavation work.
The closure will affect a quarter-mile stretch of Raulerson Road east of the Raulerson Road/Dawes Road intersection. The road will be closed to through traffic starting at 7 a.m. on March 16.
The roadway is scheduled to reopen at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, once the excavation work is completed.
Residents and motorists are advised to plan alternative routes during the closure period.
