BARTOW, FL — A Polk County jury has found Tony Lee “TJ” Wiggins Jr. guilty in the 2020 killings of Damion Tillman, 23, Brandon Rollins, 28, and Keven Springfield, 30.
The three men were shot and killed on July 17, 2020, near Lake Streety Road in Frostproof after going out for a night of fishing. Prosecutors argued Wiggins followed the men to the remote location after encountering Tillman at a Dollar General.
The approximately two-week trial included surveillance footage, DNA evidence, shell casings and blood evidence. Wiggins did not testify, while his defense argued prosecutors lacked direct evidence proving he was the shooter.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. The case will now move to the penalty phase.
