The City of St. Petersburg will host public open houses at its three Water Reclamation Facilities this spring. Tours, led by plant operators and city staff, will show the full process of wastewater collection, treatment into reclaimed water, and distribution. Tours start hourly from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with each event running from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Open house dates and locations:
- Saturday, March 28, 2026 — Northwest Water Reclamation Facility, 7500 26th Ave. N
- Saturday, April 11, 2026 — Northeast Water Reclamation Facility, 1160 62nd Ave. NE
- Saturday, May 2, 2026 — Southwest Water Reclamation Facility, 3800 54th Ave. S
The tours are primarily outdoors and involve walking, so attendees should wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and prepare for sun exposure. Photo ID is required for entry, children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and no registration is required. The facilities are not ADA accessible by default, but reasonable accommodations can be arranged by calling 727-893-7261.
