61 Arrested for DUI in Polk County Last Month, Sheriff’s Office Reports
Polk County, FL – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested 61 individuals for Driving Under the Influence of alcohol and/or drugs during the past month, according to a recent press release.
The arrests, which involved only PCSO deputies, do not include those made by city police departments or the Florida Highway Patrol within Polk County.
Among the 61 arrests, 13 drivers were involved in crashes at the time of their apprehension. Two individuals had a child in their vehicle during the incident, and five were identified as being in the United States illegally, resulting in an ICE Hold issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The Sheriff’s Office urges the public to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 9-1-1 immediately to help ensure road safety.
