St. Petersburg, FL. — On September 5, 2025, detectives from the St. Petersburg Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit arrested Anthony Butcher, a 26-year-old St. Petersburg resident, on charges of Possession and Transmission of Child Pornography.
The investigation began after authorities received information that child pornography was being accessed and shared via the internet. Through investigative techniques, detectives identified Butcher as the suspect. The images involved were of children between the ages of three and ten years old.
Butcher was charged with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography and five counts of Transmission of Child Pornography. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
