
Lakeland Man Arrested After Shooting at Clearwater Police Department
On June 16, 2025, at approximately 4:02 AM, a 25-year-old man, Gamaliel Reyes of Lakeland, FL, was taken into custody after he shot into the Clearwater Police Department, located at 700 Bayway Boulevard, Pinellas County, according to police.
Reyes allegedly approached the department and discharged a firearm into an open area, striking a marked police vehicle and damaging the building.

According to the police report, Reyes fired multiple rounds, shattering the driver’s side window of the vehicle, causing additional damage to the exterior cinderblock wall, which serves as a protective barrier around the structure’s entrance. The incident caused an estimated $1,000 or more in damages.

Officers present at the scene reported that Reyes expressed his intent to surrender and was taken into custody without incident approximately four hours later at 521 S. Gulfview Boulevard. The suspect was found to be in possession of a firearm at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
Reyes declined to provide a statement regarding the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are seeking further details. Nothing further at this time.
