Infant Found Unresponsive in Vehicle at Winter Haven Residence

WINTER HAVEN, FL — At approximately 3:50 p.m. today, officers with the Winter Haven Police Department and crews from the Winter Haven Fire Department responded to a residence on Avenue N NW in Winter Haven following reports of an infant left inside a vehicle.

According to authorities, it is unknown how long the child had been inside the car. Upon arrival, first responders immediately initiated life-saving measures on the infant at the scene.

The child was then transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Officials said the current condition of the infant is not known at this time.

The incident remains under investigation.
