LAKE COUNTY, FL – Friday, December 26, 2025 – The Florida Highway Patrol has arrested Seenarine Hardeo, age 50 of Groveland, on two counts of DUI manslaughter after a head-on collision on State Road 33 resulted in the death of two individuals.
The crash occurred last night at approximately 7pm, at State Road 33 and Swamp Drive. A 2009 Mini Cooper, driven by Seenarine Hardeo, was traveling northbound on State Road 33 north of Swamp Drive. The Mini Cooper traveled into the southbound lane into the direct path of a 2019 semi-truck with trailer traveling southbound. The front left of the Mini Cooper collided with the front left of the semi-truck.
This impact caused the semi-truck to veer into the northbound lane into the path of a 2006 Chevy Silverado traveling northbound behind the Mini Cooper. The front of the semi-truck collided with the front left of the Chevy Silverado. Both the semi-truck and the Chevy Silverado ran off the roadway, and the semi-truck overturned.
The driver of the Chevy Silverado, a 22-year-old male from Frostproof, and the passenger, an 18-year-old female from Tallahassee, were pronounced deceased on scene.
The driver of the semi-truck, a 67-year-old male from Miramar, was transported to South Lake Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Seenarine Hardeo was arrested for two counts of DUI manslaughter and booked into the Lake County Jail. The crash remains under investigation.
