1-Year-Old Fatally Struck by Vehicles in Daytona Beach Tragedy
Daytona Beach, FL — A 1 year old child lost their life after being hit by two vehicles yesterday evening, Wednesday, April 23, the Daytona Beach Police Department reported. The incident occurred just before 8:30 p.m. on North Halifax Avenue near Plaza Boulevard.
According to authorities, the toddler wandered out of their home while chasing the family dog, which had escaped. The child entered the path of oncoming traffic and was struck by one vehicle, followed by another.
Despite being rushed to a hospital with severe injuries, the child tragically passed away.The investigation into this devastating incident remains ongoing, with police continuing to gather details.
