Sanford, FL. – A 34-year-old Sanford man died after being struck by a vehicle on SR-56, east of Shops Lane. The pedestrian, who had been involved in a minor crash prior to the incident, walked into the path of a westbound Honda Civic driven by a 40-year-old Sanford man.
The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Honda Civic was uninjured.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. No further details have been released.
