Ormond Beach, FL – Florida Highway Patrol Reports: At 1:42 P.M. on June 30, 2025, troopers responded to a fatal crash in the northbound lanes of I-95 south of U.S. Highway 1 (mile marker 272) in Volusia County. The incident involved three vehicles: a 2020 Honda CR-V, a 2019 Dodge RAM Truck, and a 2016 Hyundai Tucson.
The 2020 Honda CR-V was traveling northbound on I-95 in the center lane. The 2019 Dodge RAM Truck was traveling on the outside shoulder of northbound I-95, attempting to merge back into the northbound lanes. The 2016 Hyundai Tucson was traveling northbound on I-95 in the outside lane.

Witnesses reported that the driver of the 2020 Honda CR-V swerved towards the outside shoulder and struck the rear of the 2019 Dodge RAM Truck. The driver of the 2016 Hyundai Tucson attempted to swerve to avoid the crash ahead and struck debris.
The driver of the 2020 Honda CR-V was transported to Advent Health Daytona Hospital with minor injuries. The passenger of the 2020 Honda CR-V, a 23-year-old female from Ramseur, NC, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on-scene.

The drivers of the 2019 Dodge RAM Truck and the 2016 Hyundai Tucson were not injured and remained on-scene. The crash remains under investigation.
