A strong thunderstorm is impacting Lakeland, Auburndale, Polk City and surrounding area according to the National Weather Service in Tampa Bay.
Expect wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea-sized hail, which could knock down tree limbs and cause minor vegetation damage.
Affected areas include northern Polk County.
