Polk State Board of Trustees Elects Leadership for 2026-2027

WINTER HAVEN, FL — Polk State College’s District Board of Trustees has elected new leadership for the 2026-2027 academic year, naming Greg Littleton as Chair and Steve Lester as Vice Chair. The leadership change was approved during the Board’s Monday, Aug. 24 meeting. Ann Barnhart, who completed her service as Chair, will continue serving as Immediate Past Chair.

Littleton, a Polk State Distinguished Alumnus, is the Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Bank & Trust. He graduated from Polk State in 1987 and has served with Citizens Bank & Trust since 1997, becoming president in 2001. In 2022, the Florida Bankers Association named him Banker of the Year.

Lester is also a Polk State Distinguished Alumnus and currently serves as Chief of Staff for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. He has spent 40 years with the agency, including more than 15 years as Chief of Staff, working closely with Sheriff Grady Judd.

“Polk State College is fortunate to have a District Board of Trustees comprised of dedicated community leaders who put students first,” Polk State President Anastasios Kamoutsas said. The Board also includes Ashley Bell Barnett, Kyle Davis, Cindy Hartley Ross and John Webb. Trustees oversee College policies involving programs, facilities, finances and personnel.
