KISSIMMEE, FL— Two 5-year-old twin girls died following a drowning incident at a vacation rental home in Kissimmee on Friday.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at approximately 11:04 a.m. reporting two children unresponsive in a residential swimming pool at a vacation rental property on Ruby Red Lane.
Emergency responders arrived and transported both children by air ambulance to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Despite lifesaving efforts, both girls were pronounced deceased at the hospital, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

The family involved in the incident was visiting Central Florida from an area near Atlanta, Georgia, and was staying at the rental home at the time of the incident.
Detectives responded to the scene and interviewed family members as part of the investigation. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said homicide detectives are investigating the drowning, which is standard procedure in child death investigations.
The Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death. The investigation remains ongoing.
