LAKELAND, FL — Polk County Parks and Natural Resources, in partnership with the Polk County Cattlemen’s Association, will host a special cattle drive and Cow Camp rededication ceremony at Circle B Bar Reserve on Wednesday, July 1, beginning at 9 a.m.
The free, family-friendly event is part of celebrations marking America’s 250th anniversary and Polk County’s 165th anniversary. Organizers say the event will honor the region’s ranching heritage and recognize the cattlemen and women who helped shape Polk County’s history and landscape.
Following the cattle drive, attendees can watch a live podcast panel hosted by Mason Gravley of “Florida Uncut” and take part in cattle-themed Nature Fun Day activities through 1 p.m.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive by 8:30 a.m. to secure parking and viewing locations before road closures begin. Access to Circle B Bar Reserve via Discovery Drive and Windmill Whisper will be restricted from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. to accommodate cattle movement and event activities.
The event will take place at Circle B Bar Reserve, located at 4399 Winter Lake Road in Lakeland. Registration is encouraged and available online. For additional information about trail closures, contact Polk County Parks and Natural Resources at (863) 668-4673.
