HERNANDO COUNTY, FL. — A 74-year-old Brooksville woman died following a two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:20 p.m. on June 1, 2026, at the intersection of State Road 50 and Lockhart Road.
According to the investigation, the woman was driving a Honda CR-V northbound on Lockhart Road. A Ford F-250, driven by a 35-year-old Spring Hill man, was traveling eastbound on State Road 50. At the intersection, the Honda entered the path of the Ford and was struck.
The Brooksville woman was transported to an area hospital, where she later died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and was not transported. The crash remains under investigation.
