Hollis Garden Comes Alive for the 5th Annual Plantae-Palooza

Lakeland, FL – February 9, 2026 – The City of Lakeland has announced the 5th annual Plantae-Palooza Garden Festival, set to take place at Hollis Garden on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The free event serves as a community celebration of horticulture, marking five years of connecting residents with nature through a plant sale and gathering.

Vendors will offer a wide variety of plants, including orchids, bromeliads, tillandsias, aroids, desert roses, plumerias, tropical plants, annual and perennial flowers, house plants, string of plants, caladiums, amaryllis, camellias, ferns, roses, grasses, exotic fruit trees, native plants, succulents, caudiciforms, carnivorous plants, butterfly attractants, bamboo, spices, herbs, rare flowering trees, palms, cycads, and more.

Featured vendors include Tropiflora, Third Insight Design, Mad Plants, Bee Tropical, My Crazy Plant Life, The Green House, local societies and garden clubs, and others.

Wesley Sours, who oversees Hollis Garden as part of the Parks Division, stated: “We are thrilled to host the fourth Plantae-Palooza Garden Festival and Plant Sale. This FREE event has become a favorite in the plant community. Our Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department is proud to welcome everyone to Hollis Garden to celebrate horticulture in Lakeland’s botanical treasure. Local plant societies and garden clubs will also be present to share their expertise and answer any questions.”

A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Hollis Garden Perpetual Care Fund.

Hollis Garden, located at 614 East Orange Street in downtown Lakeland, is a 1.2-acre botanical display garden within historic Lake Mirror Park. It features over 10,000 flowers, ornamental shrubs, and native trees, along with neo-classical architectural design, patterned flower beds, public art, and ornamental fountains.
