Haines City Man Employed at Universal Studios Faces 10 Felony Child Pornography Charges

HAINES CITY, FL — December 19, 2025 – Cyber Crimes detectives from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office have charged 20-year-old Brandon Arroyo of Haines City with 10 counts of promoting files of child pornography, classified as second-degree felonies. An arrest warrant was issued, and Arroyo was taken into custody on December 18, 2025, in Orlando. He was booked into the Orange County Jail.

The investigation originated from a cybertip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding child pornography files uploaded and shared via private chat on the Kik messaging app from an account linked to the Haines City area.

Detectives identified residents at the associated address, including Arroyo, and confirmed the email address registered to the Kik account belonged to Arroyo.

An electronic search warrant was served on the account, revealing 10 files depicting children aged 5 to 11 years old being sexually abused. The files had been shared with other users on Kik by Arroyo.

Orlando Police Department officers executed the arrest at Arroyo’s part-time workplace, Universal Studios. Universal Studios terminated Arroyo’s employment following the arrest.

Arroyo is being held in the Orange County Jail pending transfer to the Polk County Jail.
