Winter Haven, FL – On Sunday, November 23, 2025, at approximately 1:55 p.m., a two-year-old girl was struck and killed by a vehicle backing into a driveway at 675 Ave. G SE in Winter Haven.
The Winter Haven Police Department reported that the child was playing near the driveway of her residence on her second birthday when a visitor driving a black Tesla began reversing into the driveway. The driver did not see the child, and the vehicle struck her. The child’s mother was standing a short distance away at the time.
First responders arrived within five minutes and initiated life-saving measures. The child was transported to Winter Haven Health, where she was pronounced deceased at approximately 3:30 p.m.
The driver, identified as 31-year-old Sinyel St. Eloi, cooperated with investigators. Police stated that neither impairment nor foul play are believed to be factors. The investigation remains ongoing. No charges have been announced at this time.
