Davenport, FL – On Friday, October 31, 2025, at approximately 9:02 p.m., a retail theft occurred at the Dick’s Sporting Goods store in Davenport’s Posner Park, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
A 33-year-old adult female, identified as Cumesha Loanmen of Auburndale, used a male juvenile, approximately 9 years old, to assist in the theft. Loanmen removed a $35 hoodie from a shelf and placed it on the juvenile. The pair proceeded to a checkout lane, where Loanmen paid cash for a pair of baseball cleats but did not pay for the hoodie.
A store employee reported that Loanmen and the juvenile had committed similar thefts at the store on multiple prior occasions.
On Monday, November 3, 2025, Loanmen and the juvenile returned to the store. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office was notified, and deputies responded to the scene, taking Loanmen into custody.
Loanmen stated she returned to exchange the cleats purchased on Friday. She claimed the juvenile removed the hoodie from the store without her knowledge and did not bring the hoodie for return.
Loanmen was transported to the Sheriff’s Processing Center and charged with petit theft and causing a child to be delinquent. She was also charged with violation of probation stemming from prior Osceola County convictions for trafficking in stolen property, providing false information to a pawnbroker, and theft.
The Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident.
