Tarrytown, FL – On Saturday, October 11, 2025, at approximately 11:17 AM, a fatal collision occurred on SR-471 north of SR-50.
A Toyota Prius, driven by a 63-year-old man from Mount Dora, was traveling southbound when it crossed the centerline and struck a northbound tractor-trailer driven by a 32-year-old man from Hialeah Gardens. The impact was nearly head-on. The driver of the Prius was transported to an area hospital and later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured. The reason for the Prius crossing the centerline is unknown. Nothing further at this time.
