Clearwater, FL – On Friday, October 10, 2025, Clearwater Police arrested Erik Butler, born August 8, 1982, on multiple charges, including kidnapping, related to an incident involving a 15-year-old female runaway. The incident occurred at the Circle K located at 1501 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. Witnesses reported Butler dragging the girl away from the premises. Bystanders intervened, allowing the girl to escape. Butler fled the scene but was apprehended nearby shortly after.
He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on charges of kidnapping, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, exposure of sexual organs, and resisting arrest without violence.
