Deland, FL – On September 21, 2025, at approximately 8:50 p.m., a fatal crash occurred on U.S. Highway 92 (International Speedway Boulevard) west of Red John Drive in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 2017 Ford F250 was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 92 when it struck a 20-year-old male pedestrian from Spring Hill, Florida.
The pedestrian, who was the driver of a disabled 1997 Ford F250 with an attached trailer, was standing in the westbound travel lane. The disabled vehicle was partially blocking the outside lane.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the 2017 Ford F250, a 67-year-old female from Deland, Florida, and her passenger, a 67-year-old male from Deland, reported no injuries and remained at the scene.
Neither the driver nor the passenger was transported for medical treatment. The use of a seatbelt by the passenger is unknown, and no helmet was applicable for any involved parties.
